Has a very good colour and style and overtones of classic red varieties. The wine is fresh and fruity more like Syrah or Gamay than Cabernet Sauvignon.

The wine has a crisp, dry finish and stands up well against new world whites, it is full of the grassy yet fruity flavours often associated with New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc.

In our 2006 vintage we produced two still wines a red from our Rondo grapes and a white from our Phoenix  variety and a sparking blush wine from our Regent variety.

2007 we produced three still wines Rondo supream, Phoenix and Dornfelder/Regent blush plus a white Phoenix fiz
